Nominations are now open for people from Kimba to come forward and volunteer to be a member of the Kimba Consultative Committee.
The Committee will be a conduit between the government and the community – through which we provide and receive information on the National Radioactive Waste Management Facility.
It will also have a critical role in advising on applications under the Community Benefit Program, which is being progressed.
We are looking for approximately 15 people with a variety of views, and who represent a cross section of the area – including agriculture, business and young adults.
If you are interested in being part of the Committee, please consult the guidelines below. To be considered you must submit the nomination form on page 10 with the required supporting information. There are also nomination forms for the Independent Convener, and Deputy Convener.
The nomination deadline for the KCC has been extended to 5:00pm Canberra time Friday 20th October 2017. That is 4:30pm South Australia time.
More information can be obtained from the local project office at 49 High St. Kimba, or by calling 13 28 46.
